It was as simple as just tracing what I noticed - I could see letters everywhere. It was just a matter of careful observation and thinking outside the box. For instance, a few roads from above turn out to look like a lowercase “e”. This further expands design into the ineractive world. The flexagon is a complex type of origami, featuring a constantly “foldable” shape, revealing 4 whole arrangements for each “fold”. The significance of 4 Heritage as a flexagon is that it reveals 4 pieces of my biological and inherited heritage: Russian, Mediterranean, Southern Albertan and Montrealais. These table-toppers were placed all accross the city at various businesses and venues to spread the word about this campaign. Association is the initiative to composte organic waste to sustain vermiculture and organic fertilizer farming. The design reflect the Game’s branding from the cover to each individual page. Colors, lyaout, typograhpy were all considered for readability and engoyability of the guide. I worked closely on this material with the advice and direction of staff coordinators, the Director of Volunteers to ensure it was created with utmost attention to detail.
